Spring Organic Skincare

Cold weather and lack of sunshine have an impact on the overall condition of the skin and, in turn, on the whole body. Below we offer 7 important ways to rejuvenate your skin and entire body.

Tip 1: Drink more water.

Clear, bubble-free water with a slice of fresh lemon or a couple of mint leaves are great throughout the day. In the morning, the best choice is a cup of hot water with fresh lemon juice to help to detox your body after the night. Cut down on your intake of alcohol and coffee; both are dehydrating agents for your face and body. Instead, opt for drinking a smoothie made of your favorite raw food without adding sugar. As part of cleansing procedure, we recommend this recipe: Mix banana, carrot, spinach leaves and mint leaves in a blender. If the consistency is thick, add water or your favorite plant-based milk.

Tip 2: Eat more seasonal vegetables and fruits.

Lack of sun plays a big role in making your skin appear pale and dull. The body is tired and exhausted after the harsh winter. Interestingly, it is Nature itself that provides remedies. Seasonal vegetables bring us all the required nutrition to recover our skin and body. Include in your daily menu watercress, chives, radishes, spring onions, ginger, garlic, beetroot, citrus and blueberries. Increase your consumption of leafy vegetables such as spinach, arugula, lettuce and cabbage.

Tip 3: Increase active movement.

Sounds like a cliché, but active movement really helps fight fatigue. You don't have to go to the gym. Walk while you talk on the phone. Take a small walk outdoors when it is a beautiful day. Take your pet for a walk. A pleasant walk in the fresh air will help you organize your thoughts and relax. Spring sun and fresh air will give your skin a healthy color and glow.

Tip 4: Get a healthy amount of sleep.

Lack of sleep will quickly show on your face. Nothing's better than a good night's sleep. Give yourself 7 to 9 hours of sleep to recover from fatigue and stress from the previous day. Over weekends, rest even more to catch up on your sleep and give your skin enough time to regenerate.

Tip 5: Exfoliate frequently using a gentle peel

Peeling will help cleanse, smooth and nourish the skin. Peeling will also remove dead cells on the surface of the skin, leaving it looking brighter and fresher. Choose a scrub based on your skin type.

Tip 6: Apply a facial mask.

The cleansing mask will help loosen clogged pores and give your skin the necessary nutrition. You can choose one depending on your skin type.

Tip 7: Check the expiration dates on all of your beauty products.

Cosmetics have a limited use time. Exceeding this will not only reduce the positive effects of your beauty products, but may cause undesirable effects and endanger your health.

Spring is a wonderful time to regenerate your skin, body and soul, so enjoy this time and treat yourself to the care you deserve!
